A home for every child.
A community for every carer.

The Homeward Project: Creating opportunities to make a difference for children & families.

Children need families and families need communities.

The local Church can provide both.

We can all help create home for someone.

What role can you play in the Out-of-home Care space?

THE HOMEWARD PROJECT

It takes a village.

The Homeward Project is a movement committed to seeing better outcomes for kids and families with an experience of the child protection system.

We provide pathways, resources and support to foster connection and collaboration across the Out-of-Home Care space.

We don’t all have to do the same thing, but we can all do something. And we’re better together.

What can my church do?

In Australia…

Almost 45,400 children

are currently in Out-of-Home Care

Over 4,000 children

are currently in need of family-based care

~178,000 children

came into contact with Child Protection last year

There’s a place for everyone…

We don’t all have to do the same thing, but we can all do something.

FOR LOCAL CHURCHES

Children need families and families need community. The local Church can provide both.

Out-of-home Care presents an urgent opportunity for the Church to be known for its concern for the wellbeing of vulnerable children and families in our neighbourhoods.
