Host a Homeward Info Session

A Homeward Project Info Session is one of the best ways you can engage and mobilise your church in a ministry of Out-of-Home Care.

We’re not all called to do the same thing, but we can all do something. A Homeward Info Session for everyone.

We’ll equip and support you to plan and host an Info Session in your church to raise awareness of the need for foster carers and the wide range of ways individuals can serve vulnerable children and carers in your community.

An Info Session is for people to:

  1. Gain an understanding of your church’s heart and plans for local mission to serve vulnerable children and families;
  2. Grow in awareness of ‘Out-of-Home Care’, why it matters, and what the needs are;
  3. Connect with like-minded people who are curious about, or already engaged in, this space; and
  4. Learn about the range of ways to engage locally and identify their next step.

An Info Session also provides an opportunity to engage with your local Out-of-Home Care organisation(s), people in your church or community who have personal and professional experience in Out-of-Home Care, as well as other local churches – if you’re hosting an Info Session, why not consider extending the invitation to other churches in your area?

The Homeward Project Info Session Kit provides everything you need to run an Info Session, including:

  • Presentation slides,
  • Facilitator notes, and
  • Participant booklet.

Request the Info Session Kit and we’ll be in touch to provide all of the resources you need to run your Info Session and support for you as you plan and prepare.
